The following article describes detailed information regarding Satellite Antenna Tracker device/kits project built by Dinesh Gajjar (foxdelta.com). Dinesh Gajjar designed and built this device primarily to provides an affordable alternative for school and amateur interested in satellite communication system.
This project include hardware and firmware to interface satellite tracking software with Yaesu rotators for automatic antenna azimuth and elevation control. Specifically to interface Yaesu rotators to your favorite software running on PC, through either a Serial “COM” or USB port.
Satellite Antenna Tracker is based on a PIC16F688 (Low Pin-count (14) PIC® Flash microcontroller from microchip).
Below schematic illustrates the Satellite Antenna Tracker Circuit Board Layout and Diagram.
