The 1997 Chrysler Town and Country Speed Control System is electronically controlled and vacuum operated. The electronic control is integrated into the powertrain control module, located next to battery. The controls are located on the steering wheel and consist of the ON/OFF, SET, RESUME/ACCEL, CANCEL and DECEL buttons. The speed control can be disengaged manually by:
1. Stepping on the brake pedal
2. Depressing the OFF switch
3. Depressing the CANCEL switch.
