An alternator regulator is an electronic device which is used to continuously provide and control the battery charging current from the alternator. The device is designed so that the charge level of the battery is proportional to the battery voltage level. Therefore, the regulator must monitor the battery voltage level allowing charging current to pass when the battery voltage is low.
By using a solid state, an alternator voltage controls the charge rate is inherently more accurate and reliable. This is done by sensing the battery voltage. The following schematic depicts the Solid State Alternator Voltage Regulator Circuit Diagram Design.
