Sound pressure or acoustic pressure is the local pressure deviation from the ambient (average, or equilibrium) atmospheric pressure caused by a sound wave. Sound is usually measured with microphones responding proportionally to the sound pressure – p. The power in a sound wave goes as the square of the pressure.
The following schematic shows the 9 Volt Portable Sound Pressure Level Meter Circuit Diagram. This circuit is design to set adjusting all the loudspeaker outputs in a home cinema to the same level when heard from the listening position.
