A battery charger is a device used to put energy into a secondary cell or (rechargeable) battery by forcing an electric current through it. The following schematic shows the 12V Battery Charger Circuit Diagram using LM317. The Rs sets output impedance of charger: Zout = Rs (1 + Rs/R1)
